I have owned many sailboats in my life. You will find photos of TINTEL my
current 36ft Hoek Design one-of which I launched in 2000 and have sailed
mostly to Scandinavia. KIM is a 70 ft ketch and was launched in 1990, also
of the drawing board of Andre Hoek. We sailed her to the Mediterenean, the
West Indies and part of the North coast of South America. We also sailed
her often to Norway even up to the Lofoten Islands. The Ouwe Reus (which
means Good Friend) was launched in 1979 and used by me to sail around
the world between 1980 and 1983.
A nice detail is that my mother baptised the Ouwe Reus, my wife baptised
the Kim and my daughters Anne and Mathilde baptised the Tintel.
I am a lucky man indeed.
